Vendo is an open-source customization layer that allows software teams to let their end users build custom micro-apps, dashboards, and automated workflows directly within their web applications. Distributed under the Apache-2.0 license, Vendo integrates via a CLI command that scans a host codebase to identify styling, UI components, API endpoints, and permission policies. When an end user describes a requirement in natural language, Vendo dynamically generates functional, stateful user interfaces and automations that execute within the authenticated user's permission boundaries.
Vendo is designed for software developers and product teams building web and SaaS applications who want to deliver personalized user experiences without building ad-hoc features. It serves products with diverse customer needs, enabling end users to create custom monitoring views, alert triggers, scheduled automations, and third-party integrations independently without requiring core engineering roadmap additions.
